Our Statement on Trump’s Remarks About Haiti and Africa

To speak of groups of people as coming from #shithole countries and/or having other qualities that make them undesirable is the language of racism, of apartheid, of race war, and genocide. 

It is unacceptable because, as we saw with Charlottesville, verbal violence invites physical violence. 

Words matter. #EnoughIsEnough. 

The President must be condemned for his words.
