In his legal memo, Trump not only argues that he can pardon himself but also that he has unlimited power to investigate his enemies and pardon his friends. If that sounds like tyranny to you, that’s because it is. Trump's memo is a declaration of absolute power, an attack on the rule of law, and an assault on the Republic.

In light of this memo, any Member of Congress that supports Trump is unfaithful to the Constitution and must be unelected.

Many people wrongly believe that Robert Mueller will rid us of this president. He will not. He cannot. Only Congress can do that via impeachment.

The responsibility for the future of an America, therefore, is with the Congress.

With few exceptions (e.g., Jeff Flake, John McCain), @SpeakerRyan, @SenMajLdr McConnell, and the Republicans have been obsequious to this President and kowtowed to his every authoritarian impulse.

This is why Democrats must be elected in this cycle. It is not a stretch to say that the 2018 elections will be among the most important in all of American history.
